WELCOME TO THE 15TH ANNUAL P.S.D.I.C. TOURNAMENT

On behalf of the Palm Springs Desert Invitational Classic committee, we would like to welcome each of you to our 15th annual tournament.

Tournament Registration will officially open on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at 7:00am. Registration and payment will only accepted using our website www.psdic.org.  We are limiting the total number of teams this year to 52.  26 teams per shift (2 shifts total).  We do expect both shifts will sell out very quickly.  Tournament shift spots will only be reserved when registration and payment have been received – for all 4 team members – so get your team members ready!

As many of you may know, hosting a tournament is challenging in the best of times.  At the end of June 2021, the PSDIC tournament committee committed to holding this year’s tournament – a much reduced planning timeframe. As a result, there will be some needed changes from our previous tournaments:

• We will be running 2 shifts this year instead of 3.

– The 1st shift will begin on Friday, October 22nd, at 5:00 pm, with the Singles event with Doubles and Team starting at 9:00am on Saturday, Oct-23rd.

– The 2nd shift will start on Friday October 22nd, at 9:30 pm with the Singles event with Doubles and Team and Saturday, Oct-23rd at 4:00pm.

• We will not hold an Awards Banquet, as in our previous tournaments. We will provide pizza or sandwiches for everyone during each team event.  We will roll the allocated fees that we would normally spend for a banquet into this year’s prize fund.

We also have not solicited Corporate Sponsorships this year so we will not be providing bowler gift bags at Registration.

We invite you all to enter our Scratch Masters event which will be held on Sunday morning, Oct-24. Bowling starts promptly at 8:30 am and you must be checked in by 8 am or you forfeit your place. No exceptions.

This past year has held many challenges for all of us.  We do apologize for these changes this year!

Hope everyone enjoys their time in beautiful Palm Springs and safe travels to and from the tournament.

Sincerely,

Curt Schuller – PSDIC Director and the PSDIC Committee
