Welcome to 2014 P.S.D.I.C. Tournament Website

New Shift Added

Due to overwhelming interest in our tournament this year, the P.S.D.I.C. committee has elected to offer an additional shift.  The new shift would be bowled on:

  • Singles Event – Thursday – Oct-16 @ 6:30 PM
  • Doubles/Team Event – Friday – Oct-17 @ 9:00AM

You can sign up for the new shift online at http://psdic.org/home/entry-form/

The addition of the new Thursday shift will require that we discontinue the optional 9 Pin No Tap tournament, which was scheduled for Thurs-Oct-16 @ 7PM.  Any bowlers that already registered and paid for the 9 Pin No Tap, will be receiving a refund.

Also, any registered teams that wish to move to the new Thursday night shift should send an email to entries@psdic.org and indicate that you want to move.

The P.S.D.I.C. committee is truly humbled by the amazing response and support shown for our tournament.  It is our hope that this new shift will help accommodate those wishing to join us in October.

The host hotel for this year’s tournament is again the beautiful Desert Princess Resort in Cathedral City, CA. It’s located just 2.5 straight (or gaily forward), north of the bowling center, on Landau Boulevard. It has spectacular views of Mount San Jacinto and the adjacent mountain range. The resort’s amenities include: valet parking, in-room wireless high speed internet access, coffee, refrigerator, HBO movie channel, daily newspaper, local telephone calls, 800# and credit card access, shuttle service to/from Palm Springs International Airport, downtown Palm Springs shuttle service drop-off and admittance to their fitness room. This year’s awards banquet will also be held at the Desert Princess, as will our famous hospitality suite.

So again, plan on coming to Palm Springs on Thursday to kick off a great weekend of fun and relaxation. Take a ride on the world famous Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, or a leisure stroll down either Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs, or El Paseo in Palm Desert. Or just lie by the pool and soak up some rays. Or try out some of our fabulous restaurants and bars.

Our optional events this year will include brackets, 3 of 9 (that’s the best single high handicap game from singles, doubles and team), optional scratch, mega-brackets, the women’s optional, and scratch masters.

On behalf of the PSDIC committee, we look forward to seeing you in October! Last year our tournament sold out by the end of June! So don’t delay getting your entry in. It will fill up soon, so don’t miss out. We will do our best to get you on the squad you request, but there are no guarantees.
